Erik Mickunas presents: How to make Scotcharoos! Here's a great dessert recipe that involves only six steps and six ingredients! You will need: 1 cup of Sugar, 1 cup of Light Corn Syrup, 1 cup of Peanut Butter, 6 cups of Rice Krispies, 6 oz Chocolate Morsels, and 6 oz Butterscotch Morsels

I'm using Sugar in the Raw for its unique flavor

Karo has no high fructose corn syrup, if you were curious.

turn the heat up because we are looking to achieve a *boiling* concoction of oil and sugar.

i like to mix it up

mix peanut butter with the hot liquid concoction

transfer into a large bowl

pour Rice Krispies into bowl with the rest of your concoction.

make sure this mass of deliciousness is evenly mixed together

prepare a buttered casserole dish. I've heard of dozens of suggested dimensions, but whatever you have will probably just work fine.

pour your delicious mass into the dish

press down until the mixture is evenly distributed

yes I'm a savage. but not Fred Savage

Set a small saucepan to low heat and add your butterscotch morsels

the low heat will slowly melt your morsels, but it ensures your chocolate doesn't burn

the melted butterscotch and chocolate will fill your kitchen with aromas that will undoubtedly tease any properly functioning Olfactory Systems.

mix until blended, unless you'd prefer a swirling aesthetic

pour Chocolate Butterscotch sauce over the top of your bars

spread even and chill to your liking

in my house, these will disappear overnight. I'll often find people hiding them in secret refrigerator compartments that i was previously unaware of. trust me. they are good.
